Is Obama the fulfilment of Bobby Kennedy’s promise?

It is 40 years since Bobby Kennedy was shot at point blank range in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. The assassination slayed the ‘last lion of Camelot’, the only remaining member of the Bostonian family capable of running for president. It also ended the dreams of millions of Americans. Like his brother President John F Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy was young, idealistic and a charismatic figure who innately understood the American liberal ideals of unity, liberty and equality. Read more…
